This is the helter skelter on Brighton pier. Looking wonderful.
The beach at Fowey harbour appears at low tide and is only 3-4 metres wide. But I was fortunate enough to find a bumper collection of oyster shells which are apparently unusual. Shades of pink and blue and black but not a pearl in sight! I’ll be turning them into candles .
On the second day of my
Holiday we went to Fowey. A beautiful fishing village with a lovely harbour. It also has a beach, Readymoney, which provided inspiration for Daphne du Mauriers literature.
A baby seal in St Ives harbour. Magical!
I love the serenity that the ocean can bring in a turbulent life. Schools out for summer and I’ve spent my first week of holidays in a yurt in beautiful Cornwall. St Ives yesterday was magical.. I even saw seals! I dream of owning a cottage here with a round window at the top and a palm tree in the garden. It’s not an impossible dream surely?
